Hey Grace thanks for finding the article great... I really do not believe in gender movements.. It defeats the purpose of equality.. You know what I mean? I think people must just accept who they are and at the same time do what they wish to, regardless of who he/she is. The feminist movement, men’s movement etc make no sense..

That’s another powerful insight, Jaiyant. You would be right in saying that gender movement a.k.a. feminist movement will not be necessary if and when women already think that they are equal to men.

However, there are some realities where women cannot, by their respective objective realities, be on equal footing with men. There are constraints that handicap women some of which can be found in religion, sociocultural psychographics, etc.

In these areas, it is indeed a Herculean task for women to be on par with men. Hence, they struggle to fight for their human rights, whether they consciously call it a feminist/gender movement or not.

Yeah I can understand your point. You know something? Such grave issues become trivialized when we give people fighting for their rights a ’name’. A lot has been misinterpreted consciously or unconsciously which is unfortunate. People without regard to their gender or race must break free from the shackles of poverty, religion and societal influences.. and create an environment for themselves atleast in their private space aka minds... And embrace humanism... A person who respects another just for the reason that the other person is human too.. is enough.
