Indeed.
In fact we need only need 750ml to one litre of water, per day. ”Quite simply, if we exceed that amount, we will simply excrete it.”
Very interesting.

1 litre of water is like 6 glasses of water
How does drinking 2 more glasses per day makes it a myth is beyond me
+ last point contradicts what he said about water.
I’d say that this article was ok, but they just added few points just for the sake of it.
And Jaiyant, i hope that that too us a myth/rumor :P
anyhow, thanks for sharing :)

Water is necessary for normal functioning of the body. For example drinking enough water helps flush sand or calculus that is accepted as Hydrotherapy. Only one research that too by single individual and not even endorsed by any international body on Health and Medicine can not be taken as conclusive.

That article’s got few good points but other than those it totally just for the sake of it

”Health mantra: shaving causes hair to grow back faster or coarser”
This one has inspired me to shave everyday :p
I have been avoiding this for ever coz I believed in the urban legend I guess.
The water one also seems good.
And I wouldn’t perpetuate more myths in a link that seeks to dispel some. I mean, Mr Jaiyant Cavale, too much water bad for kidneys, I hope you can substantiate t this.

Water one is far from being good, how can a statement that means ’6 glasses of water per day are essential and 8 glasses of water per day is myth’ be a good statement, its just a article filler, thats about it

Well I did read it somewhere.. And I googled and I think this is what I meant.. Though I didn’t know the term.. It is a condition that results from low levels of sodium because the sodium gets diluted when your intake of water is in excess.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/water/NU00283
Towards the end of the article ’Though uncommon, it is possible to drink too much water. When your kidneys are unable to excrete the excess water, the electrolyte (mineral) content of the blood is diluted, resulting in low sodium levels in the blood, a condition called hyponatremia. Endurance athletes, such as marathon runners, who drink large amounts of water are at higher risk of hyponatremia.’
And here is the link which describes Hyponatremia: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hyponatremia/DS00974
However, The article which I posted might have quite a few myths like ’750 ml of water is sufficient’ It ain’t cos I feel thirsty even after drinking up to 2 litres.. I guess as the mayo clinic article states, it depends on a number of factors, our requirements of water. So safely put, We should replace lost water but not overdo it.. I guess 2-3 litres are fine. 750 ml is definitely too little. I guess I can continue to feel guilty about not drinking enough water.
